Wooten was last seen around midnight at the Ground Zero Club on Main Street in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He was attending a New Year's Eve party. Wooten and his mother lived in the same apartment complex but he worked a lot and it was not uncommon for them not to see one another despite living in the same complex. Wooten's mother did not know that he was missing until his manager called stating that he had not shown up for work. She immediately knew something was wrong and contacted police. Wooten's car was found left close to the club he was last seen at. His brother passed away a few years after his disappearance and he did not show up for the funeral services. Wooten has not been seen or heard from since. His case remains unsolved at this time.
