Case Circumstances
It was reported by his girlfriend at the time, that her grandparents saw him leave on foot around 10:30pm the night of December 30, 2020 during snow and ice with no coat, phone, money or medicine and not seen again. He had a very serious medical condition and was often in the hospital and left without medication.
On Dec. 31, rescue officials from Pontotoc helped with the initial search for the man who moved to Pontotoc County from Texas last March. He was living with his fiancé and her grandparents when he went missing.
Officials found his Texas photo ID, a couple of pictures and his social security card on the road during the course of their search on New Year's Eve. He has no relatives here in Pontotoc. His parents live in Illinois and Arizona and he hasn't contacted either.
Additional Information: Clopton left the residence he was staying at on Blackjack Road in Pontotoc County, Mississippi around 10:30 p.m. on the night of December 30, 2020.
