King was last seen on the morning of Friday, September 20, 2024, at Springfield Baptist Church in Morton, Mississippi. At the time, he was handcuffed and in the custody of Scott County Sheriff’s Department. Authorities on scene state that King ran from them. Searches of the area were performed the following day with dogs and on foot. Authorities state that they were unable to continue searching due to the canines losing scent. King lived only four miles from the location he is said to have fled from. His family believes that he would have attempted to make his way back home; however, he has not returned nor made contact with them. His home was also searched by law enforcement after his disappearance. He has not been seen or heard from since.
